A Shine of Rainbows

I thought that this movie was absolutely extraordinary, the storyline was so simple yet so effective. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. If I was to put this film into 3 words I'd choose bittersweet, moving, family film. It was suitable for all ages; there was no crude or offensive content in this film. The casting was good the lead boy was extremely talented, his portrayal of the character was excellent, and he was a completely believable character in this role. The supporting cast were well chosen by the casting director, I’m not too sure if the actors were Irish or not but had a beautiful Irish accent. Also the set was stunning, blue skies, green fields and blue ocean. I loved the little white cottage with the roaring hot fire. The filming was very high quality there was a spectacular scene out in the ocean which was breathtaking, the camera work really made you feel as if you were there, just a few feet away from it all. However I would advise all the ladies planning to go and see this film to wear water proof mascara, because it is quite sad at parts. I would definitely go and see this tremendous film again and again it is really a very very good film for all the family. 10 out of 10!!!!
