Call-Out for pitches for Cinemagic Dublin Film Academy Short Film
Posted on 01st March 2018 | Cinemagic News
Cinemagic has launched a call-out for short film pitches for the Cinemagic Dublin Film Academy which will be filmed in May 2018. The writer of the winning pitch will be given the opportunity to be mentored by LA based screenwriter Ryan Rowe (Secret of the Wings, Charlie's Angels) through a script development programme which will produce the final screenplay for The Cinemagic Dublin Film Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for budding screenwriters to be mentored by a top professional and to have their short film MADE and SCREENED at the Cinemagic Festival.
In a celebration of Women in Film, the theme of the film academy this year is "Female Stories". And as of course we welcome scripts from all writers, we would like the stories to explore female content. Cinemagic is looking for projects of 5-10 minutes in length with a maximum of 3 characters. The chosen film will be shot in Dublin city centre and its surrounding areas over 3 days and it will be screened to a family audience during the Cinemagic Festivals throughout the year.
We are accepting submissions from young people aged 25 and under from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The submission should be a written "pitch," preferably one or two paragraphs describing the story of your proposed film. Please include a cover letter with your submission, telling us a little bit about yourself and please include your contact details.
To submit a pitch please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org before 7th March 2018.
