Trainee Production Crew Call-Out For Cinemagic Short Film Academy

Cinemagic has launched its search for a young film production crew and film music crew for the Cinemagic Short Film Academy supported by Creative Skillset's Film Skills Fund.

The short film will be made by young people under the guidance of industry professionals. Budding filmmakers, aged 18-25, will have the chance to develop their talents and earn their credit on the local production film being made in Northern Ireland in January and February 2016.

Cinemagic is looking for committed, talented and creative young people who will gain unprecedented access to industry professionals and prior to making the short film; the successful applicants will participate in a compulsory programme of intensive and practical training through masterclasses and workshops led by the professional mentors. Please note the Fee for this course is £150.

The opportunity will provide the young film-makers with an invaluable insight to all aspects of filmmaking and the essential skills required in each area. The young people will be assigned individual roles on the film crew and must ensure that they are available on the following dates:

Thursday 29th October 2015 10am – 4pm
Friday 30th October 2015 10am – 4pm
Tuesday 3rd November 2015 10am – 5pm
Thursday 5th November 2015 3pm – 6pm
Monday 18th – Thursday 21st January 2016(Inclusive) – ALL DAY
Monday 25th – Friday 29th January 2016 (Inclusive) – ALL DAY

** Please note there will be additional production meetings and the possibility of additional days.

How to apply: All training and filming will take place across Northern Ireland. Young people are expected to make their own way to and from training and filming each day. No previous experience necessary. You need to be between the ages of 18 and 25 when applying. You must be able to commit to the programme for its duration.
