Pupils from Millisle Primary School and Cedar Lodge School enjoyed an insight to the world of special effects make-up for TV and film as part of the U12 Festival Education Programme in partnership with George Best Belfast City Airport.
The workshop, hosted by make-up artist, Triona Gogarty, took place at Belfast City Airport, where forty primary school pupils had the chance to learn about the processes and techniques used in special effects make up.
Special effects is a highly creative and fun area in make-up artistry, allowing the artist to create any character or creature imaginable- from the whacky to the scary! The young people learned about how special effects is becoming an increasingly important area of film and theatrical productions, with storylines becoming more sensational and technology more sophisticated!
